After many rumors indicating a move was imminent, Daniel Peretz has transferred to Southampton FC from Bayern Munich on a permanent deal.
Peretz spent the second half of the 2025/26 season with Southampton after an unsuccessful first half stint with Hamburger SV, where he could not get on the field consistently.
“Daniel immediately established himself as number one at Southampton following his move in the winter and has found a new sporting home there. We thank him for his time in Munich: he’s a great character and always applied himself in a highly professional manner. We wish him all the best for his future,” said Max Eberl, board member for sport (as captured by FCBayern.com).
Peretz joined Bayern Munich in summer 2023 from Maccabi Tel Aviv and made seven appearances for the club. Peretz was also part of the team that won the Bundesliga title during the 2024/25 season.
Peretz has become a fixture on the Israeli national team and figure to be an important part of that team for years to come.
