AIK of Stockholm have made it clear they expect to sell their left-footed Nigerian right-winger Zadok Yohanna in the coming window.

The 18-year-old is understood to be of interest to the Seagulls, Newcastle and Chelsea.

Were he to head to the Amex, he would follow in the footsteps of Yasin Ayari, who made the same move in the summer of 2022.

The Swedish club released a statement via social platforms which read: “AIK Fotboll has initiated negotiations regarding the sale of player Zadok Yohanna.

“The current bid indicates a net profit higher than £20 million.

“If and when an agreement has been reached, this will be communicated.”

AIK appear keen for a bidding war for Yohanna and there have been conflicting reports as to which club he would prefer to join.

A swoop for Yohanna, who left Africa last summer, would look a classic Albion move, albeit at a higher price than usual.

They have brought in several players of African origin from European clubs, including Carlos Baleba, Yves Bissouma, Malick Yalcouye, Simon Adingra and Ibrahim Osman.

Newcastle appear very keen to land the youngster as they re-assess their wing options following the departure of Anthony Gordon to Barcelona.

Yohanna is under contract at AIK until 2029.
