The participating nations will be divided into 12 groups of four teams. The top two teams from each group and the eight best third-place teams will qualify for the new round of 32. After the group stage, all games will be knockout format.
There will be a whopping 40 more matches to keep tabs on than the Qatar World Cup in 2022, with the action taking place in 16 venues across the three nations. The World Cup groups were finalised following the final draw in December and the last qualifying matches in March.
England, led by Thomas Tuchel, and the 47 other nations have announced their final 26-man squads, in line with the recent June 1 deadline.
