ITV doc tracks Jamie and Rebekah Vardy’s living arrangements following his exit from Leicester, and reveals where they are based now. The Vardys streams on ITVX, with a 2 June ITV1 premiere.
According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, the three-part series charts the fallout from the former Premier League winner’s decision to leave Leicester after more than 10 years. It revisits his rise from Fleetwood Town in 2012 to a record-breaking scoring run, promotion to the Premier League and the 2016 title.
Last summer, Jamie joined Italian club US Cremonese, prompting the family to move to Italy for at least one year, possibly two depending on results. Cameras follow Rebekah house-hunting around Lombardy, while he prepares for the new season, though nothing initially fits.
They eventually choose a villa on Lake Garda in Salò, valued at about £8 million, TV Guide reports. In the series, Jamie remarks on a video call that it is smaller than their UK home.
Before the season finished, Rebekah and the children returned permanently to their 12-bedroom mansion in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Cremonese were relegated to Serie B, so Jamie’s deal was not automatically extended, and his contract is listed as expiring on 30 June, according to Transfermarkt. He has been linked with moves in Scotland, Wales and England, and any further relocation would depend on his next destination, which is still unclear.
