They’re already rumoured to be vying for one of the Bundesliga’s most promising young talents in German forward Said El Mala – but I think their midfield needs a refresh this summer too.
The west Londonders have always had a strong connection to Scandinavia, from Thomas Frank and former captain Pontus Jansson, to Christian Eriksen, Kristoffer Ajer, Christian Norgaard and Mathias Jensen, many of the Bees best imports have come from lands further north.
Why break with tradition? Especially when a player of Victor Froholdt’s talent could be on the market this summer. The 20-year-old only moved to Porto last summer but had an incredible debut season, helping his side win the title while being crowned Primeira Liga Young Player of the Year.
He brings relentless box-to-box running, composure on the ball and has an eye for a pass. A year learning from Jordan Henderson could make a monster of him.
