Anyone else feel like Chelsea could use another anthem alongside Blue Is The Colour?
Blue Is The Colour is iconic and will always be part of the club’s identity. But when I look at clubs like Liverpool with You’ll Never Walk Alone or Arsenal with North London Forever, there’s something special about hearing tens of thousands of supporters singing a slower, more emotional song together before kickoff.
Those songs seem to create a real connection between the fans and the club. They build anticipation and give you goosebumps before a ball is even kicked. They also make for an intimidating atmosphere when fans are all singing in unison.
I sometimes wonder if Chelsea is missing that kind of anthem. Not a replacement for Blue Is The Colour, but something in addition to it. Maybe something less upbeat and more emotional, atmospheric, and powerful. A song that captures what Chelsea means to supporters and becomes part of the matchday experience at Stamford Bridge.
Do you think Chelsea needs something like that, or is Blue Is The Colour enough? If you do think we need one, what song would you choose?
