Everton have made an approach to sign a “flamboyant” new forward, with Iliman Ndiaye continuing to attract interest ahead of the summer transfer window.

Update on Iliman Ndiaye’s Everton future

Ndiaye has featured in every single Premier League match he’s been available for this season, with the forward only uninvolved when he was playing at AFCON for Senegal, and he has six goals and three assists to his name in 30 appearances.

Vitaliy Mykolenko spoke very highly of his teammate last month, saying: “Just play to his feet, so it’s easy. Then, he will create everything from a few yards, he needs just a few yards. If you’ve seen his skills, it’s incredible. I don’t like to play against players like him.

“If you play the ball to him, he can make everything, he can create, he can do anything with the ball. I think he’s the most skilful player in the Premier League at the moment.

Having caught the eye with his performances, the 26-year-old has emerged as a target for a number of Premier League clubs, such as Liverpool and Manchester United, and it has been revealed he would be keen on a move to Old Trafford.

According to a report from GiveMeSport, Everton want to retain Ndiaye beyond the end of the season, given that fellow right-winger Tyler Dibling has struggled to make the desired impact, but Man United remain interested in signing the Senegal international.

Everton make approach to sign Dario Osorio

As such, it remains to be seen whether Ndiaye stays at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but the Toffees have started looking at new options on the right flank, and Dan Friedkin means business, having already made an approach to sign FC Midtjylland winger Dario Osorio.

Crystal Palace and AFC Bournemouth have also come forward to sign the Chilean forward, with the Danish side open to a sale for a fee in the region of €20m (£17m), and a move to the Premier League is starting to look increasingly likely.

Former Blues defender Johnny Heitinga is a fan of the South American, having likened him to former Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, and he was also lauded as a “flamboyant” forward by scout Jacek Kulig earlier this season.

The Superliga star, who is able to play on both wings, has now made 109 appearances for Midtjylland, during which time he’s amassed 23 goals and 15 assists, so testing himself in one of Europe’s top leagues may be the next logical step.

David Moyes has also set out to strengthen his squad at the opposite end of the pitch, and the Toffees are now closing in on a defender’s signature.
