AC Milan’s Strahinja Pavlovic looks likely to leave in the summer, with more details emerging about interest from Manchester United and Crystal Palace.

The defender joined the Rossoneri from RB Salzburg in the summer of 2024 for €18m. He struggled in his first campaign in Italy but Max Allegri’s back three has brought more out of his ability on the ball.

Sport Witness have covered how interest from the Premier League has caught Milan a bit off-guard. This is making them consider the idea of an exit, especially as they find themselves in the middle of a crisis.

Today’s Gazzetta dello Sport looks at possible exits from the San Siro and the Serbian is a major candidate to leave.

Details offered on English interest

The newspaper feel the 24-year-old is the most likely exit from the Rossoneri.

His ‘excellent season’ is a big reason for that, with Pavlovic’s physical profile impressing other clubs.

Crystal Palace have made a move for him already, appearing to be in the lead for the defender.

Manchester United are also in the picture. The Red Devils have sent at least one scout to watch the Serbia international and they are unlikely to have been left disappointed.

While Milan aren’t actively looking for a buyer, offers of around €36m will be considered. That money will be used to sign a replacement, with the two suitors unlikely to have problems affording that amount.

Eagles have a bigger need

Pavlovic has been a standout player this season for Milan.

Manchester United don’t desperately need a centre-back right now.  Crystal Palace have a much more prominent need for sign a defender, though.

The Eagles can offer a slightly low-key environment, when compared to Old Trafford. If the London side continue with a back three next season, it would suit the Serbian tactically as well, with Allegri’s 3-5-2 really suiting him this season.
