Leeds United are now completing in-person checks on Kofi Amoako, who is now pushing to make a move to Elland Road this summer.
Amoako pushing for Leeds move
Premier League survival can flip the script like nothing else. Leeds secured their place in the top flight for another season with a point against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday and are already reaping the rewards.
According to Football Insider, Amoako is now pushing to join Leeds and those at Elland Road are completing an in-person scouting mission on the midfielder as a result.

In talks: Leeds submit offer to sign Elland Road’s new Ethan Ampadu
Daniel Farke could stumble upon his new Ethan Ampadu if Leeds United clinch a free agent deal for this battling star.
The 21-year-old has been on their radar in recent weeks, as the 49ers look to land another star player from the 2.Bundesliga after already welcoming Ao Tanaka in 2024.
Their interest has now been reciprocated by the player, himself, and if Leeds submit an offer in the coming months, there’s every chance that Amoako completes a move to Yorkshire.

The Dynamo Dresden midfielder certainly has potential. Compared to Tanaka, he has been more combative this season without sacrificing a high technical level.
Given that there are rumours that Tanaka could leave Elland Road this summer, signing a replacement from Germany’s second division wouldn’t be a bad idea, either.

Amoako won’t steal many headlines this summer, but he is a worthy investment. This is a young player who has played a key role in pushing Dresden into the top half of the 2.Bundesliga and the top flight will be calling sooner rather than later.
Carragher backs “fantastic” Leeds to push on next season
There is plenty of time to celebrate their survival, but Leeds will also have an eye on next season already. Now they’ve avoided the drop once, it’s all about becoming an established Premier League side – something that Jamie Carragher has backed them to do.
He told Monday Night Football: “Maybe I had an idea about how Leeds would play. Well, I think Leeds were the first Monday Night Football we did of the season against Everton, and some of the football they play is fantastic. I love them. I love watching them. I think they’re a really good team.
“I’ve always got to try and forget out of my mind that they’re a newly promoted team, because you always have this sort of thing in your head that will they be able to compete, can they step up in the Premier League; is it a big step up for a lot of the players?
“And I know they bought some players, but I feel like I’m watching an established Premier League team. The next thing is to establish themselves in the Premier League, and I think they can.”
