Transfer talk is gathering pace around Wolves, West Brom and Aston Villa, with interest in a Wolves midfielder, Albion tracking a keeper and Villa cool on a Douglas Luiz return.

Albion brought in Max O’Leary in January and the keeper impressed, with his contract up this summer as the retained list awaits confirmation. Anthony Patterson moved to Millwall, but his future is uncertain and, according to the Sunderland Echo, Albion are among the clubs monitoring him.

Rumours over Gomes have intensified, and he is set to be among a number of Wolves players leaving this summer. Spain is seen as the likeliest destination. Champions League semi-finalists are said to be planning ‘new meetings’ to try to finalise a deal, and they reportedly view him as a straight replacement after Conor Gallagher left for Tottenham in January.

Turkish side Besiktas signed Wolves defender Emmanual Agbadou in January, a year after his arrival at Molineux. Claims in Türkiye suggest they want another centre back from Wolves, with Yerson Mosquera linked after relegation was confirmed.

Sheffield Wednesday’s Svante Ingelsson is drawing Championship interest after a standout season amid administration and relegation. He is expected to leave, with Albion among those linked.

Villa are unlikely to bring Douglas Luiz back on a permanent basis this summer, it is claimed. He left for Juventus in 2024, returned in January and has made 17 appearances. Villa have no obligation to buy, and Juventus want about £23m.

Villa are also among Premier League clubs keen on Rangers midfielder Bailey Rice, out of contract this summer. He has spent much of the season injured and has played only a handful of games, with Crystal Palace also linked.
