Alex Crook tore into Wolves’ players for having ‘no pride’ in a scathing assessment during their 3-0 defeat to Brighton.

Rob Edwards’ side endured a disastrous start at the Amex as they went two goals down inside the first five minutes of their Premier League clash.

The Seagulls went ahead after just 37 seconds through Jack Hinshelwood’s header, and they soon doubled their money.

Four minutes later, Wolves once again failed to compete in the air as Lewis Dunk headed home from a corner to make it 2-0.

It was a disastrous start for the already relegated side, whose performance in the first 10 minutes summed up a miserable season.

With just one more away trip left this term, the league’s bottom club look set to become just the seventh side of the Premier League era to go an entire campaign without winning away from home.

While Wolves managed to avoid a total collapse by only shipping a third goal to Yankuba Minteh in the final 10 minutes, talkSPORT’s Alex Crook was less than impressed in the commentary box at the Amex.

Crook began: “Spare a thought for those travelling Wolves fans, that away end is absolutely packed to capacity.

“They’ve gone 19 matches in the Premier League away from Molineux without victory. They’ve not seen their team win away in the top flight since way back in May 2025 (a 1-0 win at Manchester United).

“I think they’ve been a shambles so far. I think it’s been a disgrace, the performance.”

Crook’s co-commentator, former West Ham defender Alvin Martin, was equally unimpressed.

Agreeing with Crook, he chimed in: “I can understand how those fans down that far-hand side would show some anger. Even coming to support this team.

“Look, the first ten minutes they were all over the place. Every ball that went in they were second best.

“Two headed goals – you wonder where the centre-halves are!”

Martin added: “It’s just a crazy start.

“They have woken up, I’ll give them some credit. But it took them ten minutes and they’re 2-0 down.

“It really is a travesty. What was said in that dressing room, well goodness knows.”

Wolves’ effort questioned

Crook continued to slate Wolves’ players for their efforts, whose relegation from the top-flight in April was confirmed with five matches of the season remaining.

The Molineux outfit sit bottom of the Premier League table on 18 points, having won just three matches in the 2025/26 campaign.

Crook rounded off: “There are players in this team earning decent Premier League wages.

“There are players like Joao Gomes that we understand is going to join Atletico Madrid

“But I tell you what, they’re showing no pride either in the badge or in their individual performances.”
