Myles Lewis-Skelly’s future has become a huge talking point in recent weeks.
The teenager has struggled for consistent game time this season and has spent long periods behind Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie in Mikel Arteta’s pecking order.

There is a growing feeling inside Arsenal that Myles Lewis-Skelly is actually far ahead of where the club expected him to be at this stage of his development, according to The Daily Mail.
Arteta never initially planned to expose the teenager to regular first-team football so quickly.
However, injuries to players like Calafiori and Takehiro Tomiyasu accelerated his pathway into the senior side.
Despite the frustration of spending time on the bench this season, Arsenal still view Lewis-Skelly as one of the biggest talents at the club.
The teenager himself is also believed to be very happy in North London.

That is important because there have been increasing rumours suggesting Arsenal could cash in on Lewis-Skelly this summer due to his pure-profit value as a Hale End graduate.
However, Lewis-Skelly remains committed to Arsenal and still believes strongly in his long-term future at the club.
There is also optimism that his recent opportunities in midfield could completely revive his situation.
Martin Zubimendi’s fatigue and dip in form opened the door for Lewis-Skelly to feature more centrally, and that role arguably suits his skillset even better.
If he continues impressing there, Arsenal may quickly decide that keeping him is the smartest decision possible – and that would absolutely be the right call.

The two Hale End graduates are extremely close friends and have progressed through Arsenal’s academy together.

If the club decide to sell Nwaneri permanently, the report claims that there is a strong possibility they will prioritise keeping Lewis-Skelly.
