Liverpool’s defeat to Manchester United may dent their hopes of finishing above their rivals, but Champions League qualification is close.

That allows focus to shift to the summer, where Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes face a busy transfer window. Mohamed Salah is set to leave, while Andy Robertson will also depart, meaning reinforcements are needed in attack and defence.

Liverpool may look to other clubs in the Premier League, targeting emerging talent across the division. One such target is Eli Junior Kroupi of Bournemouth, who is attracting strong interest ahead of the summer window.

Kroupi has impressed in his debut season, scoring 12 league goals – a feat previously achieved as a teenager by Robbie Fowler and Robbie Keane – including in a 3-0 win over Crystal Palace over the weekend.

According to The i Paper, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all keen on Junior Kroupi. However, Bournemouth are not willing to sell the forward at any price this summer.

Despite losing key players over the past year, Bournemouth – under outgoing boss Andoni Iraola – are pushing for European qualification, driven by the outstanding form of 19-year-old Eli Junior Kroupi.

Kroupi is not expected to leave this summer, with the club confident of retaining their core under incoming manager Marco Rose. Unlike last year, when release clauses and financial pressures forced sales, Bournemouth believe this group will remain intact.

It is believed that there is no release clause in the contract Kroupi signed after joining from Lorient for £10m in February last year.

That gives Bournemouth full control over his future, with talks over an improved deal likely after his impressive debut season. A transfer is not expected before 2027, and any future fee could exceed £100m if his development continues.

Kroupi is the latest talent to emerge at Bournemouth, whose recruitment and ability to replace key players has impressed under owner Bill Foley.

The departure of Antoine Semenyo – managed smoothly with the player committed until his exit – was eased by the arrival of Brazilian winger Rayan, who has made an immediate impact. Kroupi is also understood to be happy and settled at a club clearly on an upward trajectory.

With Bournemouth unwilling to sell Eli Junior Kroupi this summer, Liverpool could continue monitoring his progress and may consider a move in 2027.
