Everton’s preparations for the summer transfer window have begun.

The Blues have been linked with various players in the Championship.

One name that has recently been floated is former Everton player, Isaac Price.

Everton are preparing to boost their squad in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Blues have had their depth exposed at times this season, and will aim to beef up options within their squad.

David Moyes’ side have already been linked with talent from the Championship, but they have recently been rumoured to have an interest in a former academy product of theirs.

Isaac Price is on Everton’s transfer radar

Isaac Price left Everton in 2023 after making three senior appearances for them.

He featured for their academy from 2010 to 2022, but has since burst into senior football with Standard Liege and West Bromwich Albion.

After appearing as a key man for West Brom this season, Everton are reportedly interested in re-signing the Northern Ireland international, according to .

Price played in every league match for the Baggies this season, after his side saw off the threat of relegation, and finished four points above the drop zone, in 21st.

On top of becoming an important playmaker in the Midlands, the 22-year-old is also a starter with the Northern Ireland national team, for whom he famously scored a volley against Germany in a FIFA World Cup Qualifying match.

Price is mainly an attacking midfielder, but he has proven his ability to play on both wings and as a second striker if needed.

Isaac Price would be brought in for depth

When Price left Everton, he was in search of exposure to senior football, and he made the right choice by gaining experience in Belgium and then coming back to England, where he has achieved his first good season in the second division.

But with the Blues looking to become regular European contenders – and beyond – they will likely seek to add first-team talent from top divisions abroad or the Premier League.

Yet Price could see a return to Merseyside as someone for squad depth, which is one priority in the upcoming window.

It’d be narrow-minded to write off any links made with the Northern Irish international, as he has shown moments of quality when his sides have struggled, and Price could be an ideal option to bring off the bench, as well as an affordable option when funds will be finite in the summer.
