Crystal Palace have now launched a “significant” offer to sign Moustapha Mbow from Paris FC ahead of Premier League rivals Liverpool this summer.
Crystal Palace submit “significant” offer for Mbow
The Eagles may be enjoying the prospect of reaching a European final right now, but they’ve got plenty of work to do beyond that. It’s becoming clearer by the week that Oliver Glasner may just be the greatest Crystal Palace manager of all time, and replacing the Austrian will be an impossible task.
Then it’s all about backing their new manager. Steve Parish and Glasner have already clashed over transfers in the last 12 months, and the Palace owner will be hoping to hear less complaints from whoever’s next in line.

As such, he’s already set his sights on a big-money signing. According to RMC Sport, as relayed by Sport Witness, Crystal Palace have launched a “significant” offer to sign Mbow from Paris FC this summer.
The centre-back has also attracted West Ham United and, most impressively, Liverpool ahead of the transfer window. Interest from Anfield makes Palace’s task a whole lot more complicated, but they’ll be hoping the lure of consistent game time is enough to sign Mbow in the coming months.
Dubbed “dominant” by Como scout Ben Mattinson back in 2024, Mbow has only improved ever since. The towering 6’4 defender could finally replace Marc Guehi at Selhurst Park if Palace go on and meet Paris’ €35m+ (£30m+) valuation ahead of Liverpool and others.
Glasner insists “fatigued” Palace are ready for Shakhtar
It could be a historic night for Crystal Palace on Thursday as they attempt to reach their first-ever European final. With a 3-1 lead against Shakhtar Donetsk awaiting them, the Eagles should have full confidence that they’ll reach the final hurdle of the Europa Conference League in Leipzig.
Glasner has insisted that his side will be ready for another midweek test too, despite how “mentally fatigued” Crystal Palace are at this stage of the campaign.
“Let’s say you have the birthday of a friend and your personal wedding, you would be more excited when you wait for the wedding. Thursday’s game is a European semi-final. Maybe qualifying for a European final would be the biggest achievement in the club’s history, and this is also in the players’ minds.
They played many games against Bournemouth but they never played a European semi-final. It’s unique, and if unique things happen then you are sharp, you are focused, and that’s what the players will be.”
With it all to play for, Glasner could bow out by making history one last time in South London if his side go onto do what once seemed the unthinkable at Crystal Palace.
