Mr Ashton, who recently came under fire for inviting Nigel Farage to Ipswich Town’s home of Portman Road and was forced into an humiliating apology, joined Town’s promotion celebrations on Saturday.
He took part in chants branding former Norwich City majority shareholder, Mrs Smith, a “f*****g a******e”.

Former City striker, Iwan Roberts, has branded Mr Ashton “a disgrace” for joining in the chants.
He wrote on X: “Love a rivalry and a bit of banter but think the Ipswich CEO really needs to have a look at himself.”

Replying to fans, Mr Roberts continued: “The CEO singing what he did about Delia is a disgrace.

“Just think he’s let himself and the club down. She’s old enough to be his nan.”
The 84-year-old previously saw her car attacked by Ipswich fans on a visit to Portman Road for City’s 2-2 draw at the Tractor Boys in December 2023.
Mr Ashton wasn’t the only foul-mouthed representative of the club with something to say about Norwich.
During Ipswich’s open-top bus parade following their second-place finish in the Championship, Marcelino Nunez took to the microphone.
The Chilean, who was unceremoniously hauled off the pitch less than 25 minutes after being subbed on against the Canaries in April, had crossed the divide to the Tractor Boys from Norwich City last summer.
He said: “F**k off, Norwich, come on Tractor Boys.”
An eyewitness heard the player shouting the expletive from the top of the bus while the crowd chanted his name.
He also told the EADT’s Stuart Watson: “Norwich did not have the same mentality as me. Ipswich had the same mentality as me and now I’m ready for the Premier League.”
