RIKO UEKI scored a late goal, then added an assist as West Ham secured a 2-0 Women’s Super League victory at Aston Villa today.

With safety confirmed, West Ham were able to play without pressure following their crucial victory over Liverpool last weekend.

The hosts looked the more promising side for most of the match, but lacked the end product and ultimately failed to make their set-pieces count.

Ueki hit the bar in the first half, broke the deadlock with four minutes remaining in the second, then turned provider for Seraina Piubel in stoppage time.

The result lifted the Hammers up to 10th place, just a point behind their hosts.

Aston Villa welcome Arsenal to Villa Park for their final home game of the season on Saturday, while West Ham are set to end their campaign at home to league leaders Manchester City the following Saturday.
