Enzo Fernandez’s header against Leeds United at Wembley has been voted as Chelsea’s April men’s Goal of the Month.
The Argentine headed in the only goal of the game midway through the first half of the FA Cup semi-final, rounding off a superb team move.
Joao Pedro seized on a loose ball and freed Pedro Neto down the right. His cross was inch-perfect for Fernandez to nod into the back of the Wembley net, giving us a 1-0 lead we would hold on to.
Enzo came top in our fan poll to choose our best men’s strike in the fourth month of the year, receiving 52 per cent of the votes cast.
Joao Pedro’s goal against Port Vale earlier in our Cup run finished in second place with 15 per cent of the vote, while Reggie Walsh‘s effort against Fulham Under-18s was third with 11 per cent.
Congratulations, Enzo!
