Fact Checked By Next Permanent Leicester City Manager Odds

Marti Cifuentes was supposed to usher in a new era of stability for Leicester after working well with QPR in the Championship previously. However, much like when Steve Cooper took charge last season, his relationship with the fans seemed doomed from the very start.

The Foxes replaced the Spaniard and then were docked six points because of financial fair play breaches. Gary Rowett couldn’t arrest the club’s slide, and they are now remarkably going to be playing in League One, just 10 years removed from winning the Premier League.

Top football betting sites have priced the market up and feel like Russell Martin, in need of some reputational damage limitation himself, is the favourite for the role, alongside current Birmingham boss Chris Davies.

There are lots of other viable candidates to take charge at Leicester, and that includes Ralph Hasenhuttl, former Leicester full-back Christian Fuchs and Michael Skabala, according to the latest odds at UK betting sites. However, it remains to be seen who will be chosen as the new boss. There may be fewer candidates to choose from given the dysfunction that exists within the club at present,

A new manager will also have to deal with a shoestring budget as the team attempts to get out of a financial black hole and a fanbase that is seemingly more than tired of the owners. Bookies.com will keep you updated on the latest odds from all the best fast withdrawal betting sites.

Could Russell Martin Be Persuaded to Join?

Despite his two most recent jobs – at Southampton and Rangers – ending with him being sacked, Russell Martin is sure to be high on Leicester’s list. Although his time at Southampton is probably remembered for his departure while they were rock bottom in the Premier League, his first season at the club was a huge success.

The Saints were promoted to the Premier League under Martin, going unbeaten in 25 games at one point. This is something that’s sure to jump out at Leicester, as they look to find someone who can guide them back to where they belong. Betting apps are sure to see plenty of interest in Martin in the coming days.

Chris Davies Among Favourites for Leicester Job

Chris Davies helped get Birmingham promoted last season and have led them to a respectable mid-table finish. However, with wealthy owners backing them, it could be that Birmingham move in another direction.

This could entirely to Leicester’s benefit, as he has done a strong job at Birmingham and would likely be in demand if he were to leave St Andrews. The current odds at Trustly betting sites would suggest that would include the King Power Stadium.

Christian Fuchs Ready for Return?

Christian Fuchs was part of Leicester’s title-winning team and a member of the squad that won the FA Cup in 2021 too, so he knows all about the club. However, he is very much in the nascent stages of his coaching career. He has been in charge of Newport County since November, and with one game to go they are just outside the relegation places are taking over with them four points adrift.

He would surely jump at the chance to return to his old club, and he would be a name the fans could rally behind too.

Big Names Linked With Role

Will Leicester’s owners look for a proven manager or maybe one of the more flashy names on the market at present. For instance, the likes of Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Robbie Keane are all listed in the betting market at present. These would seem to be risky appointments but may hope the big names can assuage fan anger at present.
