Senne Lammens is an automatic pick in goal these days. He was still sitting on the bench when United lost against Brentford earlier in the season.
In central defence we expect a returning Harry Maguire to start alongside Ayden Heaven. Lisandro Martinez is still suspended, with Matthijs de Ligt injured. Leny Yoro’s status is still uncertain. If he is fit, he will likely be on the bench/
Luke Shaw will continue at left-back, while we expect Diogo Dalot to get the nod over Noussair Mazraoui, who would be unlucky to drop out.
Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro should be the easy selection in midfield. The Brazilian was suspended the last time United played Brentford.
Bruno Fernandes will captain the side as he continues to chase down the all-time Premier League single-season assist record.
Picking United’s front three is never quite a certainty. In this case we would expect the same trio to start as against Chelsea.
This means Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo leading the attack.
There has been some unverified speculation on social media that Cunha could be nursing an injury. If he did drop out, then Amad would step in.
Is this the best Man Utd line-up vs Brentford? What would you change?
Getty Images Options from the bench
Manchester United will have a variety of attacking options available from the bench.
Joshua Zirkzee, Mason Mount, Amad, and Shea Lacey.
Manuel Ugarte and Noussair Mazraoui will be available defensively, while we wait on Leny Yoro’s status.
It’s still too soon for Patrick Dorgu to make his return, but it’s possible we see him the following week.
