The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra has chosen as next season’s Assistant Conductor an Israeli musician, Michal Oren.
Oren, 28, previously held the Female Conductor Trainee position at Opera North in Leeds.
Chosen from 140 applicants, she will work with Chief Conductor Mark Wigglesworth, principal guest Chloé Van Soeterstède, Associate Guest David Hill MBE and Kirill Karabits, Conductor Laureate.
