The restriction affects Shore Road in Poole, northbound at varying locations from the junction with Haven Road to the rear property boundary of 14/16 Alington Road.

It will remain in place from April 20 until October 30 to allow Wessex Water to carry out sewer maintenance works.

Parking will be suspended along sections of Shore Road for six months to allow Wessex Water to carry out sewer maintenance works. (Image: NQ)

During this period, parking, waiting, loading and unloading are prohibited at all times along this section.

The order, issued by BCP Council, specifies that access for emergency services and to properties will continue, subject to site safety.

Although the current arrangements are scheduled to end in October, the order permits the restrictions to remain in force for up to 18 months if required.

Should the works overrun or be delayed by weather conditions, the council has the authority to amend or extend the arrangements, with further extensions subject to approval by the Secretary of State.
