Manchester United could look to take advantage of Leicester City’s relegation this summer by signing highly-rated youngsters Jeremy Monga, Louis Page and Olabade Aluko.

The Old Trafford side are reportedly keeping tabs on the Foxes trio following their drop to League One, as they prepare for another busy summer transfer window.

As well as appointing a permanent manager, United are expected to overhaul their midfield, with both Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte set to leave.

A fresh arrival is also expected on the left wing, with Carrick himself revealing that United could look to strengthen in that area when the market reopens in June.

Man Utd Eyeing Leicester Trio

Jeremy Monga

According to journalist Paddy Keogh, Manchester United are monitoring Leicester trio Monga, Page and Aluko following their relegation from the Championship.

The three Leicester youngsters are among the most promising talents to come through the club’s academy in recent years and have all been handed senior debuts in the last 12 months.

Monga is the third-youngest player ever to feature in the Premier League, after coming on as a substitute in Leicester’s 3-0 defeat to Newcastle last April.

The left winger was just 15 years and 271 days old on his top-flight debut and has made 36 senior appearances since, scoring once.

Page, a central midfielder, made his first-team debut earlier this season in Leicester’s 1-0 win over Charlton in August. The 17-year-old has made 20 senior appearances so far.

Aluko, meanwhile, has been involved the least with Leicester’s first team this campaign, making just nine appearances. He made his debut on the final day of the 2024-25 Premier League season, coming on as a late substitute in the 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth.

Man Utd’s Transfer History With Leicester

Harry Maguire

Manchester United have a rich transfer history with Leicester, including Harry Maguire’s move from the King Power Stadium to Old Trafford in the summer of 2019.

The England international became the most expensive defender in history when he joined United in a deal worth £80m.

The last player to move between the two clubs was Jonny Evans, who joined United on a free transfer in the summer of 2023 and spent the final two seasons of his career at Old Trafford.

Previously, the likes of Tom Cleverley, Michael Keane, Jesse Lingard and Nick Powell all joined Leicester on loan from United.
