They beat Suffolk non-league side Felixstowe & Walton United to the league title with both sides finishing level on 97 points.
Sears has played a key role for the Jammers, scoring 33 goals in all competitions, having joined them last summer after a 21-goal season at Chatham Town.
The Jammers were big favourites to clinch promotion this season, having been backed by owners Barrie and Scott Drewitt-Barlow, who made a âmulti-million poundâ takeover of the club back in February 2025 and have big plans for the club and itâs 20-acre stadium site.

Searsâ manager is fellow ex-Blue Kevin Horlock, who returned to Park Drive for a second spell in charge in February 2025.

The Jammers also have former Town players Anthony Wordsworth and Tom Eastman in their ranks. They reached the first round proper of the FA Cup this season, but were beaten 5-1 at Port Vale.
