Under Operation Maranta, police have been carrying out increased patrols at various times throughout the day and evening to deter disruptive behaviour and reassure the public.
During an evening patrol, two police constables engaged with site staff and local young people, aiming to disrupt offending while maintaining a visible presence.
Officers said the patrols form part of a wider, sustained response to keep the sports centre and surrounding areas safe, welcoming and accessible for residents and visitors.
Police are urging members of the public to report any incidents, saying information from the community helps them target resources more effectively and respond to ongoing concerns.
Operation Maranta is the name police have given to their operation to tackle motorcycle-related antisocial behaviour in the sports centre area.
