Christian Walton
My Man of the Match. Made a huge save in each half to deny Daryl Dike and was so cool playing out from the back. Saved Ipswich in this one – it likely would have been a defeat without him. Denied West Brom six times. 9 (Man of the Match)
Darnell Furlong
Caught high a couple of times but looked strong and solid for most of the game. Got involved in the box and tested West Brom with his long throws. 7
Dara O’Shea
So calm and composed on the ball. Brave defending. Chased everything. One or two slips, but always recovered well. 8
Cedric Kipre
The nervy man in the back line. Almost gifted Dike a goal and was booked soon after. Recovered after the break and settled well. 6
Jacob Greaves impressed out of position at left-back (Image: Ross Halls)
Jacob Greaves
A strong effort out of position at left-back. Handled West Brom’s strong right side well. Dominant in the air, swept up the ball and did well to bomb up the flank and contribute. 8
Azor Matusiwa
Not at his best. A bit slow on and off the ball, no crunching tackles, left Ipswich’s defence looking somewhat exposed. Some nice link-up play. 6
Jack Taylor
With his midfield partner a bit below par, Taylor more than made up for it. Aggressive, strong into challenges and confident driving forward with the ball. A nailed-on starter for Town’s final two, in my eyes. 8
Kasey McAteer
Ran hard and tried to make things happen. Good to see him being more direct. Could have had an assist on another day. 6
Anis Mehmeti
Nothing really came off for him. One or two nice bits of play around the box, but lacked the spark to really cause West Brom trouble. 6
Jack Clarke
Off-ball work left a lot to be desired – he did little to help out Greaves behind him. Got into good areas but didn’t have his shooting boots on. 6
Ivan Azon missed a good chance to put Town ahead (Image: Ross Halls)
Ivan Azon
Tried his best, held up the ball well and even dropped deep to do his defensive work. His finishing is letting him down again, unfortunately. 6
Substitute: Marcelino Nunez (65′)
Set pieces were hit and miss. Dictated play well off the bench. One of his brighter performances, compared to some flat recent displays. 6
Substitute: Jaden Philogene (65′)
Brought the energy that Ipswich needed off the bench. Read the game well, took on defenders and played with bravery off the ball. Played like he had a point to prove. 7
Substitute: George Hirst (75′)
Came on, chased, battled defenders and helped Ipswich see out the win. Missed a good chance at the back post but otherwise did exactly what he needed to. 6
Substitute: Wes Burns (75′)
A little rusty, coming back from a lengthy injury lay-off, but picked up where McAteer left off. 6
