The simple ordering hack has been gaining traction online after being shared by a money-saving expert.
What’s the McDonald’s hack?
Instead of ordering the standard three-piece Chicken Selects, savvy customers are doing something slightly different.
The trick involves ordering two “Wrap of the Day” deals and customising them.
By removing everything except the chicken, including the wrap, lettuce and sauce, you are left with just the chicken pieces inside.
Why people are trying it
Each wrap contains two pieces of chicken, meaning:
2 wraps = 4 chicken pieces
Total cost = around £4.98
That is one extra piece of chicken for less money compared to the usual three-piece option.
Where it came from
The tip was shared by money-saving expert Jordon Cox, often known as Britain’s Coupon King.
It quickly picked up attention online, with users calling it a clever way to stretch your budget.
Some shoppers praised the hack, calling it a smart saving trick.
One user commented: “VERY good hack.”
Another person added: “Love this.”
A third user joked: “Mans out here doing gods work.” [sic]
However, not everyone is convinced it will last.
One user warned: “They’ll be closing up this loophole as we speak.”
A few also pointed out you might get even better value by simply eating the wraps as they come.
The buzz comes as McDonald’s prepares to launch a new UK menu from April 27, including returning favourites and new items.
