Another Premier League club has turned their attention to Micky van de Ven, whose days at Tottenham now appear to be numbered.

It has been widely reported over recent weeks that Van de Ven’s head has been turned ahead of the summer window amid interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

It was claimed earlier this week that the Spurs centre-back is signalling with his off-field antics that he expects to leave this summer.

As the Lilywhites stand on the brink of relegation from the Premier League, a big six rival has now set its sights on the Dutchman.

The Athletic have now said that Manchester United are keen to strengthen their backline this summer, and one of the names under consideration at Old Trafford is the Spurs star.

It is revealed that Van de Ven is expected to attract plenty of interest this summer, no matter what division Spurs find themselves in next season.

The outlet adds that while Tottenham are in a strong negotiating position since the centre-back’s deal runs until 2029, the North London club’s relegation would ‘ease the exit path’ for the 25-year-old.

It is suggested that Liverpool could offer competition to United for the Tottenham vice-captain’s signature this summer.

Spurs’ valuation of Van de Ven revealed as interest intensifies

This is not the first time we have heard about Liverpool’s interest in the defender, with TEAMtalk previously reporting that the Reds and Real Madrid are both keen on securing Van de Ven.

The Tottenham centre-back has also been recommended as the perfect fit for Barcelona, as Hansi Flick eyes adding some pace to his defensive line.

Some sources have claimed that Spurs value Van de Ven at £100m, but it remains to be seen if relegation potentially affects their valuation.
