The group, many draped in St George’s flags, were seen moving through the Town Quay and High Street areas on Thursday, chanting and playing patriotic music, including ‘Rule Britannia’, through a megaphone.

The loud but orderly procession made its way through busy parts of the city, with participants chanting as they walked.

Around eight police officers accompanied the group, monitoring the situation and ensuring the march remained peaceful.

The demonstration attracted attention from shoppers and passers-by, with some stopping to watch as the group made its way through the streets.

A number of drivers showed their support by sounding their horns as they drove past.

Police presence remained visible throughout as the group continued its route through the city.
