Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee
Juventus are preparing a renewed effort for Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee as he looks to leave England this summer.
CM.it report that the Manchester United forward is once again a concrete target for the Italian giants. A return to Serie A is firmly on the table.
Why Juventus are moving now
CM.it report that Joshua Zirkzee’s situation at Manchester United has now shifted. They are ready to listen to offers for the Dutchman, who is valued at €30m.
Juventus see an opening they do not to want to miss. That’s particularly the case as Zirkzee cost Manchester United €42m in 2024. The current price is a big drop off and could be pushed down further.
Inside Juventus, there is alignment. Luciano Spalletti has already approved the move, especially with his attacking department set for a major overhaul. Several current options are likely to depart, with Kenan Yildiz the only one guaranteed to remain.
A striker looking for revival
Joshua Zirkzee also sees the timing as perfect. He’s endured a difficult and disappointing two years in England. Now he is actively seeking to leave Manchester United.
He wants to join a club where he can play regularly, rebuild confidence and rediscover the form that made him one of Serie A’s most exciting attackers when he was at Bologna. Juventus believe they can offer him what he wants.
With Manchester United also ready to ‘listen to offers’ for the 24-year-old, now feels like an ideal time to get a deal over the line.
€30m may still be too high an asking price, though. Juventus will want to be cautious after spending big on the likes of Francisco Conceição, Douglas Luiz and others for little benefit and won’t want to repeat that again.
Manchester United hold the cards, though. Zirkzee’s current deal runs until 2029 and includes another year option as well. They do not need to sell for a price that they do not deem acceptable. But there is an openness to deal, which means Juventus have their opportunity.
