Wolves have officially been relegated, but eyes are already on next season.
West Ham United’s draw with Crystal Palace last night means it’s now mathematically impossible for Wanderers to survive the drop.

It’s an outcome that has long been on the cards, with Wolves having struggled all season.
And now, there will be huge changes at the football club, as Wolves look ahead to the 2026/27 season that will see them play in the Championship.
Undoubtedly, there will be an exodus of players. Some of whom fans will be glad to see the back of.
But Wolves do want several to stick around, and a report has shared the names of said players.

Wolves will be extremely busy in the summer as they try and prepare this squad as best they can for the Championship.
Andre and Joao Gomes are practically certain to leave, and then there are players like Jose Sa and Tolu Arokodare, who’s just been fined by the club after an altercation with Mateus Mane.
But The Athletic have identified eight players that Wolves would like to stick around and form the core of a new-look squad.
They are:
Yerson MosqueraSantiago BuenoLadislav KrejciToti GomesHugo BuenoPedro LimaRodrigo GomesJean-Ricner BellegardeMateus Mane
Wolves may have difficulty keeping hold of some of these players, though.
Premier League clubs are already eyeing Mosquera.
And in recent days, there have been suggestions that Leeds United have eyes on Krejci, and they likely won’t be the only ones.
Rodrigo Gomes has also reportedly attracted attention in recent weeks.
And of course, Santiago Bueno has actually had a decent season and can hold his head higher than most. It’d be a surprise if he didn’t have clubs coming in for him.

There is no overstating how big a summer this is now for Wolves.
If Fosun get it wrong, then Wolves could very easily spend the season fighting at the wrong end.
