Leeds United are showing strong interest in signing centre-half Ladislav Krejci this summer, according to Express & Star’s Liam Keen.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are heading to the Championship at the end of this season, and Leeds are looking to pounce on the opportunity to sign the Czech international.

Krejci has impressed in the Premier League this term following a loan from Girona, which Wolves will make permanent.

There is no guarantee that he will stay after they sign him for £26 million, with Leeds showing interest. Talks are underway with intermediaries.

Krejci has won 56 percent of his aerial and 41% of his ground duels, helping to keep three clean sheets in 28 league appearances.

Leeds have switched to a back three and stuck to that set-up for most of the second half of the season.

Krejci has been an exceptional summer signing and one of the outstanding players in Wolves’ abysmal season.

Described as a ‘technical player‘, he can also deputise in midfield and has shown remarkable leadership qualities.

He can help Leeds as they bid to retain their Premier League status at the end of next season.

Chelsea defender is an option for Leeds

Leeds should also be looking at other players, such as Chelsea’s Tosin Adarabioyo.

The centre-back is expected to be available this summer and would immediately add presence, composure and top-flight experience to Leeds’ backline.

Comfortable in possession and dominant in the air, he suits a back-three system. He can seamlessly slot into the middle or the right side.

Adarabioyo has Champions League experience and has been a key Premier League defender for a mid-table team, with the potential to start for a top-six side.

He is the kind of signing who doesn’t just fill a gap but genuinely raises Leeds’ defensive ceiling.
