Everton are now keen on signing Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Conor Gallagher, with David Moyes a keen admirer of the 22-cap England international.
The Spurs star is not the only Englishman the Toffees have their eye on either, with it recently being revealed Moyes is a massive fan of Al-Ahli striker Ivan Toney, who is averaging a goal a game in the Saudi Pro League this season.
Toney is also proven in the Premier League, having enjoyed a successful spell with Brentford, and having only turned 30 last month, he may still have plenty of time remaining at the top level.

Ivan Toney’s Premier League record
85 matches
36 goals
11 assists
Bringing in a new striker this summer could be crucial, considering Thierno Barry has struggled to make an impact this season, most recently failing to score after being brought on as a late substitute in the 2-1 defeat against Liverpool at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Barry has just six goals to his name in 33 Premier League outings, although Beto has been in impressive form as of late, netting his fifth goal in six matches against Arne Slot’s side.
Everton targeting Conor Gallagher with signing midfielder now priority
Not only are Everton looking to sign a new centre-forward, but bringing in a central midfielder is deemed a priority, according to a report from Football Insider, which states they are plotting a move for Tottenham midfielder Gallagher.
The Englishman only joined Spurs in the January transfer window, but he has failed to hit the heights expected of him, which means he could move on this summer, and Moyes is regarded as a big admirer.

The Toffees are looking to sign the former Atletico Madrid man, who pockets £200k-a-week on an initial loan deal, with an obligation to buy, and he could be an exciting signing, having previously received plaudits from journalist Jacob Schneider.
Everton still in hunt for Europe despite derby defeat
Losing the Merseyside derby in such cruel fashion is far from ideal, but Moyes praised his side’s performance, saying: “There’s no shame in how we performed today, we’re playing against one of the teams in the league who expect to be challenging for Champions League and trophies. I think we gave them a good run for their money. I want this team to always be competitive. They didn’t have it their own way.”
The Toffees are still primed to compete for a place in Europe, given that they are just one point behind sixth-place Chelsea, who have been in terrible form, and Moyes’ side will be looking to get back on track when they travel to relegation-threatened West Ham United next weekend.
