Aaron Wan-Bissaka could play against his former club when West Ham take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Monday.

Wan-Bissaka made 46 appearances for The Eagles in all competitions before joining Manchester United in the summer of 2019.

Having grown up in South London and come through Palace’s academy, playing at Selhurst Park again would mean a lot to the 28-year-old.

Wan-Bissaka has now previewed the specific challenges West Ham will face when they travel to Croydon on Monday night.

Any changes to this team? I wouldn’t drop KWP any time soon 👀

Wan-Bissaka is looking forward to returning to Selhurst Park, where he built a strong relationship with the Crystal Palace fans.

Indeed, the right-back highlighted Palace’s supporters as a key test for West Ham to overcome in Monday night’s game.

Selhurst Park has a reputation for having one of the best atmospheres in the Premier League, but the Hammers players must ignore it.

“It’s always nice to go back there and to see the stadium and the fans,” Wan-Bissaka told Premier League Productions.

“The atmosphere is always good there, but we just have to block it out and play our football because we have a task to complete. They have good players, but I think it’s a good challenge for us.”

While the atmosphere might be challenging, West Ham will hold a significant advantage over Palace after their latest European adventure.

The Hammers have not played since their 4-0 victory over Wolves on Friday, 10 April, whereas Palace travelled to Florence in the week.

“We have to prepare properly, and though they played on Thursday, we just have to focus on ourselves and the things we can control,” Wan-Bissaka added.

However, Oliver Glasner’s side will arrive full of confidence after defeating Fiorentina in the Conference League quarter-finals.

West Ham must expect a difficult game, but it is also an excellent opportunity for them to take one step closer to Premier League survival.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka shares a positive outlook on West Ham situation

West Ham have been in fine form lately, winning five of their last 11 Premier League games, including a 4-0 demolition of Wolves.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s team have even escaped the bottom three after overtaking London rivals Tottenham by one point.

This recent turnaround has completely changed the mood within the camp, as Wan-Bissaka has explained in his latest interview.

“I think things are going well at the moment,” he said. “Closing the gap over the last couple of months hasn’t been easy, but we’ve worked hard to get to where we are, and we want it to continue.

“We’ve had to show that we’re strong and together, and that we’re all behind each other as a team. There’s been a lot of pressure, but we’ve kept the focus on us, gone into games with the mentality of winning, and we’ve just got to keep that going now.

“The mood around the place is good, and the boys are feeling good. Within the defence and the whole team, we always try to push each other, and we’re getting the rewards. We know we just have to continue doing that.”

Indeed, West Ham will need to produce a confident performance against an in-form Palace team on Monday to earn all three points.
