Former Newcastle United stars Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan could be set for a surprise reunion.
Former Newcastle United midfielder Kevin Nolan is being lined up for a surprise reunion with ex-Magpies teammate Andy Carroll at National League South side Dagenham & Redbridge.
The pair are close friends from their time at West Ham United and at St. James’ Park, with Carroll moving in with Nolan for a period of time, as the midfielder looked to keep the young striker on the right path.
Carroll has been acting as the interim head coach at the Daggers, after they parted company with Lee Bradbury in mid-March.
YouTube sensation KSI, whose real name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunj, was named as a minority shareholder at the beginning of that month, just two weeks before Bradbury was given his marching orders.

The new shareholder has spoken about his ambition to get the club back into the Football League and then the Premier League. It would be a real statement of intent if they were to lure Nolan to Victoria Road.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke claims the former Notts County and Northampton boss is being lined up for the vacant manager’s job. It would see Nolan and Carroll reunite at the National League South club, where the latter has been since signing last summer.

Nolan has been out of work since leaving League One side Northampton Town on March 9, with the Cobblers in the relegation zone, spending the majority of his managerial career in League One and Two, but was also part of David Moyes’ backroom staff at West Ham.

Former Newcastle United midfielder Kevin Nolan left Northampton Town last month.
Chairman Kelvin Thomas explained the reason for Nolan’s departure in a club statement and said: “We are sorry to have to take this decision, but unfortunately as we all know, football is very results based.
“We will always be grateful to Kevin for his hard work here, he helped keep us up last season and we enjoyed a strong first half of this season but since Christmas the sequence of performances and results have led us to believe a change is in the best interests of all concerned.
“We are fortunate to have someone of Colin’s experience, supported by Ian Sampson and the rest of the staff to look after matters on an interim basis.
“Kevin leaves with our thanks and our best wishes and we wish him well for the future.”
