McGree does not feature in the squad as Boro look to arrest a six-game winless run that has left their automatic-promotion hopes hanging in the balance.

The Australian suffered an injury issue in training yesterday that has ruled him out of today’s game.

Kim Hellberg has opted to play with three centre-halves, with Luke Ayling joining Dael Fry and Adilson Malanda at the heart of the backline.

Callum Brittain and Matt Targett will play as wing-backs, with Alex Gilbert returning to the starting line-up to bolster the heart of midfield alongside Aidan Morris and Alan Browne.

David Strelec continues alongside Tommy Conway in attack, with Jeremy Sarmiento dropping out of the side that started last weekend’s home defeat to Portsmouth.

Morgan Whittaker and Alex Bangura are back in the squad after recovering from their respective injury issues, but the duo have to be content with a place on the bench. Hayden Hackney is once again missing.
