Parallel Music Conference (PMC) returns to the city centre on April 23 and 24 with panels, workshops and networking events aimed at passing on knowledge and insights to the next generation of music industry, artists and creatives.
The free to attend conference will feature speakers from Warner Music UK, Openstage, Eleven Management (Bastille, Gorillaz, Blur), Featured Artists Collation (FAC), LAB Records, The Joiners, Association of Independent Promoters and more.

Parallel Music Conference aims to showcase the vibrant music community that exists in Southampton and surrounding areas.
Industry executives from around the UK will share their experience and expertise to help encourage the next generation to navigate careers in music.
From the live music venues to creative organisations and charities, and of course, hundreds of music artists that exist and create within the region, everyone will have a chance to have their say.
Parallel 2026 promises another year of panels and workshops with the UK’s top music professionals. and anyone interested is being urged not to miss the chance to gain expert insights, demystify the business, and connecting with a dynamic community of people.
There is still time to register for the event, which continues the collaboration between Southampton’s two major universities and also includes a networking ‘breakfast club’ at Papillon on Commercial Road.

Jamie Ford, who founded the event alongside Matthew Bisgrove, said: “We’re incredibly excited to launch the programme for Parallel Music Conference 2026.

“The full event is free – breaking down barriers to ensure music industry insights and education are accessible.
“Southampton is such an incredibly dynamic, vibrant and creative city. We can’t wait to champion what the Hampshire and Isle of Wight music communities offer.”
PMC 2026 is supported by Arts Council England’s Supporting Grassroots Music fund.
