West Ham United forward Valentin Castellanos is enjoying how much people are making of the work rate that both he and Pablo Felipe have brought to the club.
While neither striker is particularly convincing in front of goal just yet, their impact on the way in which West Ham operate has been positive.
Indeed, Castellanos and Pablo have given West Ham fresh energy and it’s hard to imagine Nuno Espirito Santo’s side sitting above the relegation zone without them.
Who will prove to be a better signing and why?! 🤔

It would be foolish to suggest that either forward is perfect but, right now, they do not have to be.
Taty is delighted that their hard work is being recognised.
Castellanos loves that people are praising him and Pablo for work ethic
Speaking to West Ham United’s official website, the Argentine said: “Pablo and I arrived together; we joined the club in the last transfer window.
“He’s a lad who’s a pleasure to play alongside because he has the same energy as me. I also love that people really highlight the work we do on the pitch, even though sometimes we don’t score or don’t create as many chances as we’d like.”
Interestingly, Pablo is statistically one of the best defensive forwards in the Premier League right now.
It’s clear that he does have his frustrations but that platform when defending from the front has clearly had a significant impact on Nuno’s side.
What is the WEIRDEST West Ham transfer you can remember? 😵💫
Surely Faubert to Real Madrid is up there…
Taty has been praised for his energy too, while he is slightly more convincing in front of goal.
His first 16 games for the club have yielded five goals – including two in the vital victory over Wolves last time out.

The pair may not be able to match Callum Wilson in terms of finishing but having them leading the press has transformed the way in which the Hammers operate. Without them, they’d have surely been cut adrift a while ago.
Whether they are the men for the club long-term is up for debate. For the very specific run of games between their arrivals in January and the end of the season, however, they are doing what is expected of them.
They might not end West Ham’s infamous striker curse, but they are helping improve the team in the here and now.
