Konstantinos Mavropanos is reportedly ‘set to leave’ West Ham United with Borussia Dortmund and some unnamed Premier League clubs taking an interest in the Greek defender.
Just a few days ago, it was claimed that the Hammers were planning to offer Mavropanos a new contract in order to secure his services for the long-term.
However, German reporter Florian Plettenberg has now indicated that the former Arsenal and Stuttgart man is likely to reject any offers put to him by West Ham United.

Via his official X account, the Sky Germany journalist claims that Borussia Dortmund are interested in taking Konstantinos Mavropanos back to the Bundesliga. There is also alleged interest from rival Premier League clubs.

“Konstantinos Mavropanos is set to leave West Ham this summer as he is seeking a new challenge,” Plettenberg writes. “The West Ham 28-year-old has delivered top performances consistently over the past few months, attracting interest from both the Bundesliga and the Premier League.
“Borussia Dortmund have discussed him internally in recent weeks. A potential deal could be difficult as his price is expected to be very high.”
It remains to be seen what sort of price West Ham will demand. It should be said that, with his current deal running until 2028, the Hammers are under no immediate pressure to cash in. Then again, with his 29th birthday coming up in December, one could appreciate the lure of Champions League-bound Dortmund, for instance.

Nuno Espirito Santo called Mavropanos West Ham’s ‘warrior’ in the midst of what is his best run of form since joining the club from Stuttgart in 2023.
He scored the equaliser in a valiant 1-1 draw at Manchester City while hitting an unexpected brace in last week’s 4-0 thrashing of Wolves.
West Ham have also kept four clean sheets in their last nine Premier League matches with Mavropanos partnering Axel Disasi in front of Mads Hermansen.
