A Supermarine Spitfire and a Douglas Dakota took to the skies over Southampton as part of the Spitfire 90 celebration.
The planes departed together from Exeter this morning in the final leg of the Spitfire’s 90th anniversary flight.

Plane spotter Sam Cousins spotted the two planes flying over his house earlier today.
Both planes took off from Southampton together before the Dakota split off and headed north towards Basingstoke.
The Spitfire remains in the skies over Hampshire and is currently flying over the Solent.
The Spitfire, painted in the pale blue livery as a tribute to the first Spitfire flight which took off from the then Eastleigh Airport on March 5, 1936.
The aircraft took off from Southampton Airport on April 7 on the first of nine tribute flights around the country before returning on Friday, April 17.
