Like Chelsea, Real Madrid often find themselves looking for a new manager, and it could be the same story at the end of the season.
Following their elimination from the Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich on Wednesday night, Alvaro Arbeloa’s future at Real Madrid has come into further doubt.
Enzo Maresca is still without a job after leaving Chelsea in January, but he is being heavily linked with Manchester City.

Right now, Maresca’s predecessor at Chelsea, Mauricio Pochettino, is a more likely contender for the Real Madrid gig.
According to The Athletic, Pochettino should be considered a strong candidate to replace Arbeloa, as he is held in high regard by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
In contrast to Maresca, Pochettino is in work at this moment in time. The Argentine is currently managing the US national team, but his contract with them expires after this year’s World Cup.

Despite Liam Rosenior’s struggles this season, Chelsea are unlikely to be on the lookout for a new head coach.
Following their 3-0 loss to Manchester City, it was reported that Chelsea’s plan is to continue putting their trust in Rosenior.
Mauricio Pochettino’s record at Chelsea
Pochettino was not the most popular figure during his time at Chelsea. Supporters did not always enjoy the football under him, while some could clearly not forget his connections to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
However, Pochettino did not do a bad job in the Stamford Bridge dugout, especially compared to how Rosenior is doing now.
In his one and only season in west London, Chelsea finished sixth in the Premier League and managed to get back into Europe. They also reached the Carabao Cup final, which they narrowly lost to Liverpool, and the FA Cup semi-finals. Had Nicolas Jackson been a bit more clinical that day, they probably would have beaten Manchester City.
As per Transfermarkt, Pochettino managed 51 games in total at Chelsea, winning 27, drawing 10 and losing 14, giving him a win ratio of roughly 53%.
