Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna refused to be drawn on speculation that he is one of the leading contenders to become the next manager of AFC Bournemouth.
Reports yesterday suggested that McKenna was among the frontrunners to take over from Andoni Iraola, who confirmed that he is to leave the Vitality Stadium at the end of the current campaign.
However, speaking after his Town side had been beaten 2-0 away at Portsmouth last night, McKenna was not keen to discuss the matter.

He said: “I’ve got nothing to say on that. I’ve got no interest in discussing or thinking about that at the moment. It’s such an important time for us here and it’s full focus on our goals.
“Focus is just on such an important stage of the season with us right here.”
McKenna is the current 4/1 favourite with the bookmakers to fill the vacancy on the south coast, with the likes of Marco Rose (5/1), Edin Tezic (8/1), Eddie Howe (8/1), Thomas Frank (8/1) and Ange Postecoglou (8/1) also on the list.
