Fulham Women were crowned as tier four champions on Sunday as they lifted the trophy in a sunny Craven Cottage.

Steve Jaye’s side officially secured the title in their last match – a 3-0 win against MK Dons, also at the club’s main stadium – after finding out that closest rivals Norwich lost.

Back at the Cottage, hosting Luton Town Ladies, the champagne was on ice as fans were invited down to celebrate Fulham’s achievement at full-time.

The home fans were treated to another 3-0 victory in the final home game of the season, meaning they’re just one league game away from completing back-to-back promotions unbeaten. They travel to London Bees on 26 April for the final game of 2025-26.

Despite being newcomers in the division, the Whites have won 18 of their 20 games in the FAWNL South East Division One and will play in the National League South, the third tier, next term.

With a cup semi-final against Tottenham up next, this invincible Fulham side has the opportunity to add a flourishing touch to what has been an impeccable season.

Climbing from the fifth tier to the third without losing a game is no coincidence; the club has increased its focus and investment in the women’s programme in recent years, enabling them to attract high-calibre players, improve facilities and create performance pathways.

The next challenge is to grow the fanbase. As Sunday afternoon demonstrated, there is clearly an appetite to support the women, particularly amongst younger supporters and families who have the opportunity to watch affordable football in a friendly atmosphere.

Hosting more games at Craven Cottage certainly helps this endeavour, as does serving up entertaining football. Climbing the pyramid into higher divisions no doubt sparks more interest, too.
