Annual – have it somewhere proper, police it and make money from it suggestion. Was my turn mom to post!

Guess the ideal scenario is Hearts win it before coming to Glasgow…? They’ll go wild as well but at least GCC won’t get the blame

We should embrace it as a way for small businesses to make money. Have it in one of the parks, where vendors can have stalls for food and drink. At the very least put out temporary bins/skips ever 100 metres.

Neither should they. All over the world in nearly every sport when a local side wins a national title it’s cause to celebrate. Yet in Scotland you get the pearl clutchers who act like people having a good time and using local bars, restaurants, shops and fast food is all of a sudden a bad thing. The councils should make plans for people to get the most out of it as safely as possible, and not listen to joyless arseholes who just look to be constantly offended and upset.

Today (and every fucking day) in r/Glasgow:

Football fans, cars, and Southside bakery owners are all basically Satan.

The Glasgow sub is a hoot with the usual snobby cunts who hate football and want to go full gestapo and just ban football fans 🤣

This is not my thing at all and it tends to attract absolute worst cunts who rarely attend games anyway, but it’ll always happen now. The Glasgow thread is hilarious.

Yes, r/glasgow can be r/scotland’s pearl clutching little brother… but on this when the centre of Glasgow looks like the set of Threads every year. Maybe, just maybe, they might have a point.

As for having a fan celebration in a controlled parkland area… that’s far too much like common sense for GCC.
