Everton boss David Moyes was pleased with Tyrique George’s cameo in their 2-2 draw at Brentford on Saturday.

George contributed to a switch in momentum of the game as Everton fought back to earn the point.

Moyes said: “I was pleased. I’ve liked Tyrique and we’ll try and get him the minutes and opportunities when we can.

“He’s got good control, he wants to score, I like that, and you saw that today.

“He wants to try and score and that was important for me because I think wide players nowadays, we’re asking (a lot of) them.

“We rely a lot on Ili Ndiaye, I’m sure Brentford rely a lot on (Kevin) Schade and their wide players as well.

“I think being a wide player now you’ve got to have a contribution with goals and assists. He’s a young boy who will obviously continue to develop, I’ve got no doubt about that.”
