The phrase ‘spoiled for choice’ comes to mind when picking West Ham United’s Man of the Match following that 4-0 obliteration of Wolves at the London Stadium.

Do you select Taty Castellanos? The Argentine made Premier League history when recording the third-quickest brace in the competition, netting twice 99 seconds apart.

Konstantinos Mavropanos scored twice himself, in addition to helping Mads Hermansen secure a fourth clean sheet since ousting Alphonse Areola in February. Jarrod Bowen was ‘back at his brilliant best’, Crysencio Summerville marked a lively return to the XI, and Mateus Fernandes broke lines at will with his piercing passes.

“I’m happy because I think the team deserves a win like this, and it’s a great feeling to get this win,” beams Mavropanos, who now has three goals in two games after none in 86.

“Of course individual rewards are nice but, for me, I just always try to give my best for the team, because that’s what the club deserves.

West Ham United's Konstantinos Mavropanos celebrates scoring his side's first goal during the Premier League match between West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers at London Stadium on April 10, 2026 in London, United Kingdom.

“It’s perfect for everyone, because we’re a team and we stick together and fight together. I think the whole team has been really good over the last few weeks and months, and we’ve shown how much we want to fight until the end.

“I think we’ve seen the togetherness and chemistry, and it’s great to be able to show a performance like this in front of our fans, give them a win like this and play in such a brilliant atmosphere.”
