Ahead of Saturday’s clash, Gary Rowett discussed the concerns with Jordan James. The midfielder came off early for Wales while on international duty, and has since missed out on City’s games against Preston and Sheffield Wednesday. Rowett said. “He’s done some work this morning, so we’ll see how he feels after that. We’re hopeful he might be available for the game. I’m pretty sure if he’s not, he’ll 100 per cent be available for the next game.”
In addition, Jannik Vestergaard is also an option after making consecutive appearances off the bench. Rowett talked up his strengths after returning from injury. He said: “He’s certainly available and an intelligent player. You saw his attitude when he came on as a striker. That’s great to see that he wants to do his bit for the team, and you saw that again at the weekend. His quality in possession unlocked them a couple of times with some good passes, and in the opposition box, he’s a real threat.”
With just five games left to play, Leicester are going to need any boost they can get. Under Rowett, they have picked up just two defeats; a healthy improvement. However, too many games are finishing level, as City can’t find the quality to take all three points.
Swansea Team News
This weekend’s visitors to the King Power Stadium are winless in their last four games. Though it is important to note that they came up against two of the top three and a strong play-off chasing Wrexham side. With 54 points, they reside in mid-table, and with nothing on the line in these last few games.
In terms of injuries, manager Vitos Matos confirmed some returns for their trip to the Midlands. “The squad is in a good place, Zeidane has returned to train, and he is back with the team”.
Zeidane Inoussa is the player picked out as he nears a return from a back injury. The winger has been on the sidelines since the final week of January, but has now made a full return to training ahead of this weekend’s clash. Furthermore, Ethan Galbraith was recently ruled out for the rest of the season, which further leaves the Swans weakened.
