Alejandro Garnacho left Manchester United last summer in unceremonious fashion, with his time at Chelsea so far being deemed a disaster.
After falling out with Ruben Amorim in the wake of last season’s Europa League final, Alejandro Garnacho was sold to Chelsea for £40m.
He has struggled to live up to his potential for the Blues, as so many players do, to the point that Chelsea are already open to selling Garnacho this coming summer.
Since moving Garnacho has been jeered at Old Trafford for his actions at United, while supporters revel in his poor performances. But he has now spoken with honesty, admitting he had fault in the breakdown.
Will Man Utd ever REGRET selling Alejandro Garnacho?

Now, Garnacho has given his most candid interview yet to Premier League Productions, in which he almost takes accountability for his actions.
“I remember in the last six months, I was just not playing like before at Manchester United. I started to be on the bench, it’s not (such a) bad thing, I was only 20 years old, but in my mind, it was like I had to play every game.
“In my mind, maybe it is also on me, I started to do some bad things. But yes, it was just this moment in life and sometimes you have to make decisions and I am really proud to be here and still in the Premier League at a club like this.
“Sometimes, we have better moments or worse moments. I am proud to be here but with United, I have nothing wrong to say about the club, no one in the club or the teammates. It’s just a moment in life that change and life continues. I have no regrets.”
The interviewer then asked Garnacho whether he regrets how he left United.
“Yeah, maybe yes, because I loved that club, you know? They gave me the confidence from the start, from Spain, to bring me to the academy, then they brought me to the first team, so it was like four or five years, and amazing love from everyone, from the fans, the stadium, everything was really good.
“It’s just sometimes you have to change for the good of your life or the next steps. I only have good memories of Man United.”
Was Garnacho’s ‘attitude’ the issue, or is he just not suited to the Premier League’s top level?

The interview sounds like Garnacho has finally matured and realised that he effectively blew up his career over very little.
The realisation likely occurred due to the fact that Chelsea are now looking to get rid of him this coming summer.
Wherever he goes, it won’t be a step up, as Garnacho has been linked with a loan to River Plate, which is a move unimaginable 24 months ago.
It isn’t too late for Garnacho to get back on track, and acknowledging his errors is a first step toward that. Hopefully, for his sake, it isn’t an anomaly.
