    I’ve watched this clip so many times over the years. The match is remembered for Amokachi subbing himself in, but the son of the manager who had been sacked four months before gifting Everton’s second goal shouldn’t be overlooked.

    What a day. Felt like a home game as we had 3 sides of the ground. 18,000 Everton fans in the 3 stands and Spurs had 18,000 in the big main stand. Then there was Big Joe’s famous “Sorry about your dream final lads, but bollocks to it, and that’s with a double L” quote. Lovely stuff.

    How neat is that kit. I got a ’95 cup final replica but it was the season after design with the stripey collar. Not as good

    That was never a penalty.

    He went down easier than, well, Spurs this season.

  5. This is up there with one of the best games I’ve been to. Sadly didn’t get a ticket for the final though
