Broadstone Win on Waste is set to pay tribute to Sir David Attenborough’s milestone birthday by setting residents a challenge to save as many items as possible from their waste bins.
The hope is that through the 100 challenge, they can collect at least one hundred of each items from people’s waste bins- or a total weight of one hundred kilos.
The items include biscuit/cake wrappers, bread and bakery bags, cameras, Ferrero Rocher boxes, ink cartridges from printers, Kinder wrappers, empty makeup containers, Marigold gloves and packaging, mobile phones or tables and Pringles tubes.
They’re also asking for items to go towards other such as buttons, corks, jigsaw puzzle pieces for Dorset Scrapstore, bras for Against Breast Cancer and other items such as greeting cards, laptops, milk bottle top, postcards, ring pulls and stamps.
People are being asked to take these items to the donation session on Saturday, April 25, from 10am to 12pm at Broadstone Library.
